"Six Flags Magic Mountain's X will be closed for an extensive period of time - quite possibly for the entire summer. The ride's problems seem to center around the trains. It is not yet known exactly when the ride will re-open."

I am a hip critter. I showed up fasionably late with Super Mario World and have started launching your own career since then. In maybe 10-15 years, my popularity will rival Mario's. Not that I'm competing with him. He's my bud. I'm good at getting and keeping friends, and they value me for that. After all, who else would carry them on their back through ice, fire, and rain? Sometimes I think I'm taken for granted, but I know that my friends have my back. Of course they do. Who would screw over Yoshi?

I am, as most you know, a big disney freak and mostly focus on thier theme parks as an intrest. Yesterday Space mountain turned twenty five years old. It took me a second to really think about the significance of this. Space mountain is still one of the most popular roller coasters in the country, even though in terms of speed and height it has been eclipsed several times over. Nearby Knotts Berry Farm and Magic Mountain have seen several coasters come and go. Coasters become outdated, or malfunction, they become a pain to upkeep. But Disney has this coaster running just as great as it did years ago, and even improved it with music a few years back. I congradulate all the Imagineers who ever worked on this attraction, and hope it stays open for many more years to come. their skill and attention to detail has proved that quality makes great rides, not height or loops. This is one of the big reasons I like Disney. So, heres to one of the best rides in the world. Happy birthday space mountain.
